A sunny afternoon by the Serpentine

Hyde Park is without a doubt up there as one of the most beautiful areas in central London, if you're ever silly enough to doubt how incredible London is, visit this park on a sunny day and you'll soon be convinced London is the best city in the world, which it is.

I went on a little trip with my boyfriend, his brother and a friend to Hyde Park after a bit of rowing on The Serpentine we headed over to The Serpentine bar and kitchen and sat down in the afternoon sunshine for a drink and obviously some cake.

This restaurant is perfect for a late summer afternoon, it has beautiful views over the Serpentine and has a charming and relaxed atmosphere. It is set in Patrick Gwynne's iconic building on the east side of the Serpentine.
Not only is there the most incredible selection of cakes and other yummy treats (such as strawberries and cream), but they also serve a delicious looking menu, which I haven't yet tried but from the looks of the food around us I will be returning to try it out and would definitely recommend others to do the same. (The wood-fired pizzas looked amazing).

As well as being the perfect place for afternoon tea and cake, it is also a great setting for early evening drinks whilst watching the sunset over my favourite park in the city. And like all the best places they serve Pimms by the jug as well as having 'The Gin Bar' which, as you can see below, is a really cool retro van selling drinks and snacks situated amongst the restaurant's outside seating.

I really liked this restaurant, its not cheap, but with a setting like this it was never going to be. It is most definitely worth a visit if you're spending the day in the park and it is also worth visiting the park just to go here.

Go check it out for yourselves!

  4. It like you're giving us clues to find out that you're Finns girlfriend. First you put up the pic of Caspar from the Jacksgap video and then you show the pic with Jacks ukulele. You cant be with Jack because he is with Ella so that leaves Finn since you mentioned that he had a brother therefore it cant be Caspar. Sneaky! haha :)

    3. As much as I appreciate people reading the blog posts I've written and I'm glad you're enjoying them. However, I can read all your comments and do not appreciate the comment section being a forum discussing whether I am or am not in a relationship! If you wish to discuss this, which I'm not sure why you would then it would be great if you could do it elsewhere and not on my blog. Thank you!
